Thermoforming
Lightness, flexibility, efficiency
Thermoforming is one of MPG's historic technologies, present since the company's founding in 1976. It is an efficient and versatile process that allows for the production of lightweight and resistant rigid plastic containers , perfect for food use.

How it works:

The plastic material in granular form (such as polystyrene) is transformed into a sheet by extrusion
The leaf is heated until it becomes malleable
It is then placed on a specially constructed mould
Once cooled , the product is cut and stacked
MPG also manages the waste recovery and recycling phase internally, optimizing the production cycle with a sustainable perspective.
The advantages of thermoforming
LIGHTNESS
Thin-walled containers, ideal for optimising logistics and transport
FLEXIBILITY
Possibility of carrying out mould changes in relatively short times
ECONOMY
High production cycles that allow for cost reduction
ENVIRONMENTAL COMPATIBILITY
Possibility of using Green materials

APPLICATIONS:
VERSATILITY AND FUNCTIONALITY
MPG uses thermoforming to make:
VASCHETTE PER GELATO, IN VARI FORMATI (DA 80 ML A OLTRE 1000 ML)
CONTAINERS FOR DESSERTS, DAIRY PRODUCTS AND FRESH PRODUCTS
PACKAGING FOR BABY FOOD
TRAYS FOR CONFECTIONERY PRODUCTS AND COUNTERTOP ITEMS
PACKAGING FOR THE DETERGENTS INDUSTRY
CUSTOMIZATION AND FINISHES
Thermoformed containers can be decorated or enriched with:
SELF-ADHESIVE LABELS
METALLIZATION FOR A CUSTOMIZED EFFECT (LIMITED TO SOME TYPES OF ARTICLE)
VARIABLE GEOMETRIES BASED ON THE FUNCTION OF THE CONTAINER
Each project is developed with the client: we start with the design, create the prototype , and define the perfect packaging for your product.
